HOUSTON - En respuesta a las altas temperaturas que azotan la región de Houston, las autoridades locales han habilitado varios centros de enfriamiento en diferentes puntos de la ciudad y sus alrededores.

Las autoridades instan a los residentes a tomar precauciones para evitar la insolación y otras afecciones relacionadas con el calor intenso.

Las autoridades recomiendan a la población mantenerse hidratada, usar ropa ligera y de colores claros, y limitar la actividad física al aire libre durante las horas más calurosas del día.

Además, se insta a los vecinos a estar atentos a los signos de agotamiento por calor en personas vulnerables, como ancianos y niños pequeños.
